Project 365 | April 19th-25th

Did winter come back for a week? Brrr!! Mother nature sure knows how to fool us. We had our furnace shut off for almost two weeks and had windows open, only to come home from work early last week to read 52 degrees on the thermostat! Anyways, let's get back to the real reason for this post...weekly photos!! My Kindergartners at church planted flowers for Earth Day and our "Seeds are Good" lesson plan. Just like Jesus dying and rising again, seeds die so flowers and other plants can grow. It was a great learning activity and also very fun for them!
My new lens arrived just in time at the end of the week for a 1 month old baby session, and boy did I have fun playing around with it. Since I'm a sucker for landscapes, nature and wildlife photography, I decided to add a wide-angle lens to my collection. The last three images were taken with the new lens. Can anyone guess what it is? I'll help you out :)
My new lens is a Canon EF-S 10-22 mm

"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me, and I learn." -Benjamin Franklin

"Every child is an artist" -Picasso

"In spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt" -Margaret Atwood

"Play in the dirt, because life is too short to always have clean fingernails" -Garden Therapy Proverb

"Don't GO through life, GROW through life" -unknown

Oh hey mom, sorry to stick my slobbery nose into your new lens.....

"When you do something beautiful and nobody noticed, do not be sad. For the sun every morning is a beautiful spectacle and yet most of the audience still sleeps" -John Lennon

"The woman who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. The woman who walks alone is likely to find herself in places no one has ever been before" -Albert Einstein
